Saturday July 10th and Sunday, July 11: weekend trip to Barcarrota and Monsaraz!!

Good evening to all the parents of our great scientists!

During the weekend we all took a break from our responsibilities as women and men of science and we had a lot of fun! We left the school at around 9 AM and we drove for an hour until we arrived in Barcarrota at around 10 AM. We first left our stuff in Casa Rural Palacete de Santiago, and after settling our things we started our incredible adventure.

First of all we headed to the Aguijón reservoir where many different activities were waiting for us.

After spending the whole morning at the reservoir, we returned to the hostel to have lunch. Once we had regained our strength we headed towards Monsaraz where we had a great time on the beach and in the evening we visited the beautiful village and had a picnic dinner there as well.

  Good evening to the families of our students!   Today we followed a schedule that is very similar to yesterday’s, but this morning our students had their first language and culture classes with their Team Leaders. The Team Leaders taught their students about topics that interest them as a way to teach English.   Today’s topic was Balance and Juggling. Our students made their own juggling balls from rice and balloons. They also used other materials that they made on their own or that were provided by Garci. Each team created their own circus performance using what they made as part of our daily challenge. Ultimately, Andrea’s Avatars were the winners of the challenge today!  Students continued with the same mandatory and elective workshops as yesterday. Final Performance, Saturday, July 17th

 After showing the parents around the school, classrooms and eco-village, we finally headed to the Final Performance.
